President John F Kennedy questioned whether Adolf Hitler committed suicide and predicted he would one day “emerge from the hatred that surrounds him now as one of the most significant figures who ever lived,” his diary reveals.

The 28-year-old future president kept a 61-page diary of his experiences, which will be up for sale at RR Auction in April. Kennedy passed the diary to Deidre Henderson, who was his research assistant at the time he was a Senator.

The diary reveals that during his time in Berlin, Kennedy wrote about visiting Hitler’s bunker only months after Germany surrendered in the Second World War.

  1. I doubt anyone will ever know the definitive truth about any of our history, with the exception of the people who conspired to falsify it.

I’ve read various tales about Hitler, the general consensus is, that he fled to Argentina with Eva Braun, raised two daughters and lived ’till he was 73. Although I don’t believe the latest theory that Angela Merkel is his daughter, but who knows, anything is possible in this mad world.
