Royal Navy deploys WARSHIP into Putin’s backyard to deter further Russian aggressive plans : Express

BRITAIN has retaliated to Vladimir Putin’s aggression by sending a fierce warship into Russia’s backyard.

Months after Russia sailed a navy warship close to the white cliffs of Dover on its way to Syria, the Royal Navy decided to patrol a Russian warship for the second time this month.

Earlier this month the HMS Severn left fishery patrol to track the Russian Koole which was capable of carrying 24 are vehicles and 170 troops.

Yesterday, the HMS Daring was deployed into the Black Sea after spending time in Istanbul.

The Royal Navy said HMS Daring has been protecting merchant shipping in the Middle East and will now moving towards the Black Sea before heading home later this year.

The decision to send a ship into Russian waters follows the deployment of four RAF Typhoon planes which set off to patrol eastern Europe today.

Britain’s bold moves come after a Russian military commander claimed the Russian Navy could control any situation in oceans around the world.

Admiral Vladimir Korolev reportedly said: ”The [Russian Navy] has everything to control the situation in any region of the global ocean.”

The Black Sea is home to the Crimean peninsula – which was recently taken by force from Ukraine.
