FORMER Prime Minister and chief Remoaner Tony Blair could form a new centre-ground anti-Brexit party, according to reports.
But the move has led to mixed opinion from allies and top figures from the Labour party.
During an interview marking 20 years since his landslide General Election victory, Mr Blair said he was “not sure I can turn something into a political movement” but added: “I think there is a body of ideas out there people would support.”
Blairite MPs challenged Blair to stand for re-election as an MP or step away from the debate.
“And that’s the problem. Either come back or don’t.”
But former Shadow Chancellor Chris Leslie said: “It’s important to hear what he has to say.”
