Prime Minister’s blasted for ‘crying wolf’ attack on cops after soldiers forced to step in due to Tory cuts : Daily Record

Theresa May was warned police cuts would leave UK vulnerable to terrorist attacks but she accused critics of “scaremongering” as she slashed number of officers on street.

The Prime Minister has come under fire for slashing police numbers as her “crying wolf” comments made to officers when she was Home Secretary come back to haunt her.

Theresa May last night ordered 5000 troops on to the streets of Britain to help free up under-pressure cops as the terror threat level was increased to the maximum level of “critical’.

But the Tory leader has been slated on social media for ignoring warnings from senior officers two years ago that her cuts to front-line policing would leave the country more vulnerable to terrorist attacks.
