STURGEON’S SQUALOR: Anger at filthy slum where SNP leader’s constituents live : Daily Express.

SHOCKING footage has emerged of Nicola Sturgeon’s constituency Govanhill showing the disgusting slum-like conditions her residents are forced to live in.

Abandoned furniture and rubbish strewn across the floor offers an insight into the the “filthy” and “squalid” streets of the First Minister of Scotland’s neighbourhood.

The once bustling area in Glasgow is now infested with rats and cockroaches, which has left left members of the community reeling – so much so they have set up their own campaign group ‘Let’s Save Govanhill’.

Fiona Jordan, Let’s Save Govanhill campaigner, becomes angry as she describes how her home town turned into a “filthy ghetto” during the 5-minute film.

During the video directed by Sophie Sandor, she said: “Nicola has yet to set foot in any of these slum back courts of Govanhill and take one of her famous selfies.

“Govanhill looked very different in the 1970s than does it today.

“This close is an absolutely filthy ghetto and we should be totally ashamed.

“We are surrounded by sheer filth and squalor.”
