Corbyn’s bubble burst: Tories SURGE ahead of Labour in polls as support for Jeremy plunges : Sun.

THE Tories have shot ahead of Labour in the opinion polls again amid signs that the Corbyn bubble has burst.

According to a BMG Research poll the Conservatives under Theresa May are on 42 per cent while Labour has plunged to 39 per cent after a post election blip put Mr Corbyn’s extreme Left party ahead.

The poll comes after Mr Corbyn – a well known pacifist who once proclaimed that he wants to abolish the army – declined to attend the 100 anniversary commemorations of the Battle of Passchendaele in Belgium.

The snub was widely seen as an insult to the memory of almost half million British and allied troops who gave their lives defending democracy in Europe.

Theresa May - Jeremy Corbyn

Latests polls show Tories under Theresa May have a three point lead on Jeremy Corbyn

At the time Tory MP David Morris hit out: “It is a terrible shame that Jeremy Corbyn and his allies chose not to attend this important event.

He added: “The date should not only have been in his diary but seared in his heart — as it is for anyone who loves this country and respects the sacrifice made by so many to protect it.”

Meanwhile, Mr Corbyn has also refused to condemn the attempts by fellow socialist Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to destroy democracy in his failing state.

  1. Hahaha, nice try Express. A bit of wishful thinking on your part.

Corbyn is not PM, and wasn’t expected to attend the commemorations, although he did send someone to represent him, as did Nicola Sturgeon.

As for condemning Maduro, he condemned violence on both sides, whereas Theresa May and her government have been selling weapons to Venezuela (hypocrites that they are)

If Corbyn was so unpopular, and not a threat to the establishment, the right wing press wouldn’t spend all day throwing dirt at him.
