THE Tories have shot ahead of Labour in the opinion polls again amid signs that the Corbyn bubble has burst.
The poll comes after Mr Corbyn – a well known pacifist who once proclaimed that he wants to abolish the army – declined to attend the 100 anniversary commemorations of the Battle of Passchendaele in Belgium.
The snub was widely seen as an insult to the memory of almost half million British and allied troops who gave their lives defending democracy in Europe.

He added: “The date should not only have been in his diary but seared in his heart — as it is for anyone who loves this country and respects the sacrifice made by so many to protect it.”
Meanwhile, Mr Corbyn has also refused to condemn the attempts by fellow socialist Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to destroy democracy in his failing state.
