1.2 MILLION parcels handed out in a year
ALMOST 1.2 million emergency foodbank supplies were given out to hungry families over the past year with the government’s changes to benefits largely blamed for the record-high figures.
Britain’s biggest foodbank charity the Trussell Trust said yesterday it provided 1,182,954 three-day food supplies to people in crisis in the year to March — 70,000 more compared with the previous 12 months.
Almost 440,000 of the supplies went to children, the charity said.
And three million children are at risk of going hungry during the school holidays when there is also an increased use of foodbanks when they don’t get free school meals, according to a report by a cross-party panel of MPs and peers.
Labour shadow work and pensions secretary Debbie Abrahams called the grim tally “a damning condemnation of the Tories’ economic failure” and said her party would reverse benefit cuts and boost wages.
In areas where the government’s penny-pinching universal credit benefit was introduced, foodbank use shot up by 17 per cent. This was down to the six-week waiting period for the first universal credit payment.
Benefit delays and changes remain the biggest cause of someone being referred to the Trussell Trust’s 420 foodbanks by a front-line worker such as a doctor, social worker or jobcentre adviser.
An engineer who was made redundant after 37 years said that he struggled to find another job and he had to wait six to eight weeks before receiving his first benefit payment while feeling very depressed.

Can anyone really believe the dire condition of the UK and world is the product of ineptitude? Everything that has been done has had two effects, made the rich richer and the poor, poorer, killing them off.
They have moved our economy away from generating wealth for the whole to generating wealth only for the few. They are moving all the money out of areas that benefit the normal everyday people and are concentrating it with a tiny minority.
Everything that is happening now has the aim to depopulating the earth based on wealth. This is impossible to argue against when you examine the evidence. The system that is appearing in the UK has been the norm in the U.S. for decades. One third of Americans never use healthcare because they can’t afford it, 33 Million Americans Still don’t have health insurance. Do you believe it is impossible to see a cause and effect or draw any conclusions as to why that country is so unfair? Can anyone really argue they can’t draw any conclusions?
Then you have African nations as soon as a leader is elected that promises, or starts to regenerate the infrastructure of that country they are deposed. Then a despot puppet is plopped in position and fed with ‘humanitarian aid’ while western governments milk the country dry of it wealth. To sort out the water shortages in these countries would be a relatively easy and an inexpensive measure. So ask yourself why don’t they bother.
They are in charge and they want us gone but they are wasting their time and lives, these people that are fully aware of what they are doing will have no chance.

I was thinking about this yesterday, I always believed this meant being rich made you innately bad or less likely to be saved, but I thinking about it more maybe it means if you are rich you have no reason to question life, no reason to examine the system or its injustices, no reason to awake and see the truth. We should feel sorry for those people comfortably off who have no real knowledge of the struggle.

As well as that other biblical Christian chestnut…for what does it profit a man, if he gaineth the world and loseth his soul.
You’ll notice that people like Iain Duncan Smith, Theresa May, Cameron and his boyfriend Osborne, George Bush and other wealthy – so called – Christians are well aware of these quotes from the bible.
Verrliy I say unto you…judging by the way they live their lives, one would think that entering heaven is something they are trying (at all costs) to avoid.

There’s nothing the matter with being rich.
It’s what you do with it and how you treat others that matters.

CEO Dan Price told his employees this week that he was cutting his $1m salary so they would each earn a basic salary of $70,000
The world could use more bosses who think like this one. Sharing the wealth they made with the help of the employees.
